Photo Tours & Workshops
Mar - July
Swallowtail Kites start arriving in February and start to get settled in during March where they can be seen flying with nesting material. Babies start to hatch in April and are usually seen above the nest in May.
May is the peak activity for the Swallow-tailed Kites to hunt, perch, and feed their babies before they start to branch and fledge beginning in early June.

Burrowing Owls & Florida Scrub Jay
Two rare species in the same day? This is an opportunity to photograph lots of burrowing owls with pleasing backgrounds, and most likely a Florida Scrub Jay or two.
May & June are when the many of the babies are almost the same size as the adults. This is also one of the best times to photograph the owls, because the babies will be more comfortable outside of their burrows.
