While canoeing through the serene back bay just after sunrise, we watched pelicans dive for their morning meal before indulging in a spirited bath. One juvenile brown pelican stole the show, thrashing and splashing water in every direction, sending ripples across the otherwise glassy, mirror-like surface. Thankfully, despite the lively commotion, my lens stayed dry!
