Ever since purchasing his first Mirrorless and DSLR cameras in 2018, Andrew has spent most of his free time researching and exploring the incredible outdoor opportunities that Florida has to offer. His main interest is wildlife photography, which involves researching specific animals habits, locations, and selecting the desired angle with available light. As a self-trained photographer living in Southwest Florida, the majority of Andrew’s work is from his journeys around the state of Florida.
Accordingly, in the last few years his work was featured in Spotlight Magazine and on Wer weiß denn sowas, which is a German TV quiz show. During his first month of photography, Andrew captured roseate spoonbills pinching alligator’s tails, while sweeping up food stirred up from by the scurrying gators and has been hooked ever since. His work has been selected as some of the highest rated entries in multiple contests, frequently finishing in the top 5-10%. Andrew has won multiple photography awards and continues to compete in Art competitions and exhibitions.
His goal is to help educate the public on Florida's ecosystems & the environment through photography, videos, and storytelling. Andrew tries to capture nature and wildlife as he sees it. His research, planning, patience and vision combines with a little bit of luck - rewarding us with unique moments in time. He does everything he can to perfect the photo process in camera to ensure minimal editing and post-processing. All images are a single capture, unless otherwise specified. No animals were baited or called in for photos.
